REFLECTIVE SELF ASSESSMENT TOOLS

SUMMARY

This resource prompts workers, who work with people in neighbourhoods and communities, to reflect on their role and review this in relation to their understanding of part that learning plays in their work. Workers are also prompted to review their understanding and contributions to community learning, capacity building and community development.

 

  1. Thinking about my role and the purpose of my work – where do I fit in?

Training / Education Worker – within the broad education and training field   
Service Worker – within a specific service or sector, e.g., Health; Police; Information Services; Social Services; Transport; Local Authority Services  
Community Worker – community provision and services; development /improvement; community safety; arts and sport; environment   
Voluntary Sector Worker– support and development for individuals and community groups.
